Today we headed down to the Gig Harbor Art Festival to enjoy all the local artists and their work. As usual we saw many friends and associates which is always such a pleasure. There are so many things to choose from. The list starts with quilts, purses, metal art, wood art, water color pictures, photography art, handmade soaps, clothing, glass art all the way to pottery! There are just so many things to see and enjoy. There is a lot of hard work that has gone into so many of the wonderful pieces we previewed today. It is a destination that is worth the trek! The event continues again Sunday July 18th. Our treasure today was meeting Ron Carson with Studio on Fox Island and purchasing this very affordable berry bowl for only $36.00! This is a great value for the beautiful piece that it is and how functional it will be for our family. We are looking forward to filling that bowl with some fresh berries to enjoy.

Happy Fourth of July in Gig Harbor, WA! I live in a sub division that holds it’s own parade with bikes, trikes and wagons. The participants get together and stroll the streets showing their pride of the USA! We all cheer them on and the little ones sure enjoy it! There is so much to be said about living in small town where the simple things are what bring us the most enjoyment. We also have a few new residents that also stroll through the neighborhood. She is very sweet and her two new babies are just adorable! Hope you enjoy the photos as much as we did taking them. Happy Summer!

We are NOT finished with the Tax Credit just yet for qualified military personnel! It is true that qualified military personnel have another year to find a property to purchase have it under contract by April 30, 2011 close and fund before June 30, 2011. This is a day that over 72,000 Keller Williams Real Estate Agents give back to their communities in honor of one of our founders Mo Anderson. How does one show just how much they care? Celebrating her birthday by collectively across the nation doing something that is very passionate and close to her heart. Community Service and Giving. This photo is of our Keller Williams office here in Gig Harbor, WA doing community service picking up trash and debris that has washed up on the Purdy Spit from the Puget Sound. In conjunction with Pierce County Parks we collected over a dozen bags of trash including several tires and placed them on the side of the road for Pierce County to come and retrieve the following day. We could not have asked for a better sunshine filled day to do such a chore, but together we had the task done in a very short amount of time. A very good deed done well by all! This is just one of many really good reason’s to work with Keller Williams Realty. We are so blessed! Again, Happy Birthday Mo Anderson!

I read a great column recently written by Laureen Lund of the Gig Harbor Guide; Help Save Your Local Economy – Pick 3 Spend $50. This article moved me in such a way I really had to think about it? What business would I miss if they were no longer there? Through travels all around The Puget Sound many businesses actually came to mind. So with that I am going to make a commitment to do exactly what the website asks; visit your independantly owned business, Say hello! Make a purchase as this is what will help keep that business around. I would ask that you help and support your local business and spread the word! In this economy we need to take care of each other. We all have money it is just how we choose to spend it. Help in the positive movement to Help Save Your Local Economy Happy Shopping!

A recent visit to Esquin Wine couple of Saturdays ago. This is the best place to shop if you are looking for that special bottle that you’d like to give as a gift, take to a dinner party or just treat yourself! They even have a chilled selection of various and unique Beer! Select Saturday’s they offer wine tasting with the wine maker/distributor, very educational and also allows the taste before you buy. Another great thing to know about Esquin is that they have temperature contolled wine lockers available for rent. When we were moving to Gig Harbor we rented a locker to keep our precious wine safe.
